A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I currently reside in Mountain View with my husband, three sons, three cats + one rascal of a puppy.
I write about all the things I know best and care about most: parenthood, paralysis, joy, grief, healing, dementia, disordered eating, addiction + recovery.
I am an INFJ and an Enneagram 2 who loves nature, horses, books, yoga, cleaning (not a typo), hiking, music, musicals, music concerts, sunrises, leather pants, cowgirl boots, fancy sequin dresses and cat naps (like, literally, naps with my cats.)
My favorite smell: a bookstore.
My favorite view: my children as they sleep (sometimes they can be pretty dang cute when awake, too.)
My favorite dessert: anything lemon.
My favorite feeling: a solo drive on an open road...windows down, music up, hair flying.
Today, in my mid-forties and wildly in love with my one messy and precious life, I find myself constantly navigating new thresholds within the realms of parenthood, paralysis, recovery and aging parents. I continue to turn to books, the blank page and sacred spaces where I belong to make sense of my experiences and find my way home.
I consider myself a student of life and myself.
And I am so glad you are here.
Drop me a note.
Tell me about a few of your favorite things...
